Culinary Photography
When COVID started we were all stuck at home, the world slowed it’s frantic race. We had no idea what was going to happen, how long we were going to live in this ‘new normal’ that was anything but normal. No one had ever experienced this before, so no one knew what to expect. Standing still, not being able to go out, we started to have more time on our hands than we had in a long time.
As many of my fellow citizens, I found time again to read books, did a deep dive through my closet and tried a lot of new recipes. I got really creative in the kitchen and started to create beautiful plates. I styled my plates and took beautiful pictures that I posted on a new Instagram account with my recipes.
This is when my love for food photography was born. In this little space between my love for food and the art of cooking, and my long-time passion for photography.
Since then I have had the pleasure to photograph recipes created by chefs in a number of restaurants, styled beautiful photographs to sublimate the Chef’s creations through light and masterful technique.
